Question to non-Whites: when you think of Whites/Europeans, which of the two images comes to mind?

When I imagine European they usually look British or Scando in my head. So the first photo. To be honest this how most Mideasterner imagine Europeans to look like. Also I think they use that as a sharp distinction as well. I often imagine Europeans as often tall height, light eyed and blond or brown hair, and often very pale skin.

2000 ago a European would have been associated more with the second pic.

2000 years ago southern europe wasn't so heavily mixed with jews and moors etc. and Italic tribes were i-clade nordics. Now most of southern europe looks like the jews on the bottom photo.

Both pictures show white Europeans, just from different regions which can show differences as evidence in the two pictures. Except for the girl in the second picture, at the the extreme right. She is Indian. People in the two pictures can be found in Italy, just for some further information, before crap is started saying Italians are not "white".

All very true, but the point is that Nordicists from Italy and other Southern European countries always love to point out how many people from their countries look like the first photo, while they implicitly if not explicitly denigrate darker Mediterranean features.

Honestly see them as part of the MENA. They also believe that Southern Europe is heavily admixed with Mideastern blood. So to them Southern European look does not register the true European look and especially if they are "Woggy/exotic". There is series called Khalid Ibn Walid, you can see that they made the Byzantines to be European looking, pale skinned, light eyed and having blond hair. This also can be seen in the series of Omar, especially the Byzantine elite is shown to be like this, but their forces are shown as mixed bag, since they often used the Ghassanid Arab/Anatolian/Balkanian forces. The main reason why MENA do this is because blondism and light eyes are more common in Europe and they show a sharp distinction with MENA's. It's hey they are different and not one of us. Also British and American influence have influenced this perception.

As a white american to me the first picture. Why I am ethnically similar to them. North western euro. To a south american picture two would be white to them. To europeans neither term probably matters to them.
