You always with your 'dark'... There are a lot of factors that can make someone appear darker than they actually are with pictures.

I can easily demonstrate this with my smartphone and he made this with a webcam in a dark room without the right setting of lightening.

My mother on the other hand looks like a slightly alpanized gracile med (her mother was French of Dutch origin with blonde hair and her father was of French/Spanish(?)/Jewish(?)/Italian(?) origin).
