Bill and his future (at that time) wife, Linda

For those who know something about American college football, Bill played in the Big Shootout (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1969_Texas_vs._Arkansas_football_game), which is a well-known 1969 game between Arkansas (ranked #2) and the University of Texas (ranked #1). Texas barely won, 15-14, but they had to complete a pass on 4th & 3 in the 4th quarter to do it.

Went to church with Bill back in the 80's. :)

Yup, the actor from Seinfeld.

Oh, I left out the best story. A rod. Alex Rodriguez the biggest baseball player in America. Equevelant of best futboll player in Europe.
I wS in Manhattan playing poker for a month and I was sitting next to him two nights in the row at same table. I was the only guy who had no clue who he was and because he knew this as well he only talked to me the while time as if we're friends. Even asking me if he should continue playing after losing three times all in.
The next day the illegal cardroom in Manhattan was raided by police.

Hahahah, well it was at a college up in New Hampshire, well worth the drive I think. I don't believe in ghosts though, unless there arises scientific evidence to prove their existence I will abstain from holding any firm beliefs in them.

When I was 5 or 6 years old I met former children's TV presenter Andy Crane. As a teenager and adult, I have met: former England rugby captain Martin Johnson; Welsh singer Aled Jones; Neighbours actors Alan Fletcher and Anne Charleston; Hollyoaks actress Gemma Bissix; the three main actresses from British sitcom Birds of a Feather; Welsh rugby players Gareth Thomas, Ryan Jones and Alun Wyn Jones; Welsh footballer Ashley Richards; Welsh rugby player-turned-commentator Jonathan Davies; English TV presenter Noel Edmonds. I also met two prominent MPs on separate occasions in a train - Chuka Ummuna, the Shadow Business Secretary; John Bercow, the Speaker of the House of Commons.

My hometown has produced a lot of sportstars. 8 guys who attended either high school or elementary school with me now plays in the NHL or AHL, and some more are on the way there. A girl from my high school also got a silver medal in the last olympics.

I also once played mario party when I was a kid with a guy who is now some famous youtuber. His channel is called "Regular ordinary Swedish meal time".

The same here. My uncle (brother of my father) is quite a popular writer in Poland but it shouldn't count as he's my family member. I've seen many actors / singers / politicians etc. in person but never talked to them. More often than not it was ... in my everyday life - in public transport, on the street or in some ordinary store than at different kinds of events.

I have seen Hulk Hogan, Heidi Klum, Rose Byrne, Punky Brewster chic, Lemmy from Motorhead, Garry Coleman (I would laugh uncontrollably ever time I saw him), Janice Dickinson (obnoxious), Sharon Stone (still pretty), Charlton Heston (did the eulogy at my Great GF funeral) and......

This is actually an Addendum. I completely forgot that I met Andres Segovia in the audience at a performance by his friend and countryman, harpist, Nicanor Zabaleta. I was with a guitarist friend who recognised Segovia at a distance. We got to talk with him for a few minutes during Intermission.

I've met a shit ton of famous people working in the hospitality industry but my two favorites were Christopher Lee and Cheech Marin, both of which I had nice conversations with (both about golf). Roger Clemens used to call the restaurant I worked at and ask for me by name to let us know he was coming and he hooked me up with a bunch of perks (free cd's and stuff) from his pals in the entertainment industry.

I have met Hulk Hogan, Spike Lee, and Jane Goodall. I've met some local politicians in Chicago but I don't know if they would be considered famous, especially on an international board like this. I have also had a few quasi-encounters with famous people.

James Caan: I was with my family at the Mirage hotel and casino in Las Vegas and my grandmother spotted James Caan and started yelling "Sonny!" (the name of Caan's character in The Godfather). He gave her a dirty look and kept walking by. She then swore at him loudly.

Michael Jordan: I have seen him twice in pubic. Once at a high school basketball game where his son was playing. He had a whole section of the bleachers roped off for himself and his entourage. The other time was again at a Las Vegas casino and he was with a huge crew of men and women. I never approached Jordan because he is supposedly a big jerk in real life.

Finally, my aunt's sister was supposedly dating a drummer for the '80s band Survivor ("Eye of the Tiger" and all that). I met him once. He just looked like some balding middle-aged dude. I have no idea who he really was so I am not sure if my family was just messing with me by telling me he played drums for some '80s rock band.

Meeting politicians is often underwhelming. All of the ones I have met were pretty personable, put you can never know if it is just a façade or not. So much of their job is glad-handing and baby-kissing for good publicity.

My Nephew Dylan, an eagle scout, is a student at Stanford University. As a teenager, in high school, he singlehandedly rescued a drowning middle aged man, in the San Francisco Bay, and resuscitated him with CPR. He received recognition in the local newspaper. At the 4th of July Parade, the Mayor of Alameda awarded him with an honorary title, for his heroic act.
