BELGIUM –An unattended suitcase caused fear and panic in the municipality of Etterbeek in Brussels in the wake of terror attacks in neighboring Paris, France.
Authorities quickly secured the area where the suitcase, suspected to contain bombs, was left on Tuesday morning.
A resident who declined to be identified said those who lived near where the bag was found were prevented from going home for security reasons.
The area where the suitcase was placed is near a school, a bank, offices and residences. It was also just several kilometers away from office of the European Commission and the European Parliament.
