and Cypriots are basically a more "Near Eastern" Sicilians, and are MUCH less Near Eastern than we would think. They do not come up anything like the Syrians, Turks, or even Armenians on here, much less like the Palestinians.
Going by this chart, Cypriots should indeed be viewed as European, not Levantine.
Greeks on here have nearly 2x the Baltic type admixture of Abruzzese, also. But much less than other Balkanites.
This is from a study on Balkan populations. The data might be from Lazaridis et al.

How could I? The whole theme and topic is completely pointless. I simply asserted the fact.
Whether such 'map' is indeed like this, or the entire opposite; it is still entirely without purpose. Just as the whole myriad of endless posts that fill this forum with useless information, to the chagrin of actual thought-process.

Sup Sikeliot.
Greek samples are from Thessaloniki. It would be as taking Italian samples from Bozen alone.
Looking at that it's obvious that many Romanians and Bosniaks are gypsy admixed.

Sup Sikeliot.
Greek samples are from Thessaloniki.
So that means that some of the people included are probably part Pontic and Anatolian, which means they might be more southward plotting than the majority of mainland Greeks.
Where are the Sicilian sample from? And the Abruzzese?

After spewing so much bs at the Italicroots forum, I see you have come here now. You didn't miss a beat lol
Greeks from Thessaloniki aren't the most Northern Greeks nor are "Slavicized" as you parrot at every chance. Only some Greeks from the borders with Fyrom and Bulgaria might be but even those who score more Slavic than average get Greece as top country in their ancestry, unlike your average Fyromian or Bulgarian.
Where is the proof the Romanians and Bosnians in that chart are gypsies, except only in your wishful thinking? We don't even know where the Greek samples come from.
Anyway Sicilians don't plot with Cypriots on various plots but with other S.Italians and Greeks no need to start bs again.

Greeks are from Behar et al. hence Central Greeks and Thessaly Greeks.
A significant minority of Bosniaks and Romanians show gypsy admixture. That's quite evident by the admixture analysis. Raine buy a pair of glasses please.

Cypriots have much more Caucasians, more Near East and much less of NE Euro compared to Abruzzesi and Sicilians. Anyway i always considered them Europeans and this chart confirm they are different to Palestinians and Syrians there.
