Just to clarify he is ethnically German going by his surname, before you try to pass him off as an ethnic Italian.
Borreby.

I know he is an ethnic German. He belongs to a separtist party from the South Tirol.

He can pass in all of north Europe easily. I wonder if South Tyrol be next new country in Europe?

Borreby.
No, according to many sources and he is a Ladin, a Romance-speaking South Tyrolean, not an ethnic Austrian/German.
Kasslatter is a Germanized Ladin surname (during the Austro-Hungarian empire). Kalsatter derives from a Ladin placename, Chiaslat/Ciaslat.

Fist time I heard Ladin with a stron South Tirolean accent ;) Otherwise a nice language, when spoken by those who can.

No. BTW he is a Ladin not an ethnic Austrian/German. And I don't think he is a separatist.

Yep, for many of them Ladin isn't anymore the main language used in everyday life.
A curiosity. How do you name the typical rural "maso" in German? Bauernhof?
The Maso (or mas) is the traditional family farm in Trentino and South Tyrol.

Would you consider him mainly of Germanic stock, although it seems he is a member of the small Ladin community. He does look quite Germanic.

Many people at the borders are mixed. There are people from Trentino that have some Austrian ancestors from Tyrol or Carinthia and people from Austria that have some Italian ancestors from Trentino or South Tyrol (of any kind of language). Nothing strange about it. He identifies himself as Ladin and he is a Ladin, the fact that he is blond means nothing. Identity and ethnicity are social categories, genetics has very little to do with it.
And IMHO many people at borders are smarter than we think. They are often bilingual, take the best from both countries, and they care little about land claims.

"Bauernhof" is the standard German word for farm, when you use it you make pretty clear you are not from a farming comunity at all. More commonly used by farmers is the shorter version "Hof". When it is a fairly large farm it is called "Hube", smaller ones "Keusche"(traditionally half the size of a Hube). You might refer to your own farm as "Hoamatl" which derivates from old standard German "heimödil".

The third person in the recording, Lois Taibon I believe, sounded like they spoke it properly.

It's very true. He doesn't have the typical Borreby nose (like f.e. Alessandro Cattelan).
