I think Google shows you slightly different images depending on your IP location.

Yes it does, it also depends on what version of google you're using. If its google UK it will search for hits located in UK IP addresses. If its in Romanian it will look for Romanian IPs or Romanian languages websites, etc.

About safe search on or off... I see you guys already put your own twist to it :P I never have mine on anyway. That's for pussies ;)
