All it could take for that, would be the migration abroad of a distant sibling/cousin of your ancestors. Then that line moves again to another area.
It could be indirect.

I had one in Sri Lanka but investigated and they were part Macedonian on mothers side (weird mix).

Yes, I got some weird matches like Ireland, Holland and such i wonder the rest were all MENA countries which make sense, but the Russian ones I understand, it's due to their conquest in the Caucasus where they assimilated and mixed with the locals.
