Read before polling
So I know a guy who is half Greek and half 'English' , his father being 100% Greek.
However I looked up his mother's surname and found out the family came to England from Germany in the 17th century; they were crypto-jews.
His mother's side is just like any other English family, but him and some of his relatives have swarthy skin (naturally) and some Middle Eastern influence visible.
He doesn't know how far back the Jewish ancestry goes, but he had a great-great (or great) grandmother, whose first name was Merab.
Looking at him he does not look 100% European, and looks a lot like a young Bob Dylan.
Many of his relatives however do look 100% Nordic Europeans
He mentioned he has relatives who died in the holocaust, extended relatives from Germany, or something to that manner.
