which do you prefer?

I personally prefer blue eyes with dark hair because it looks not only very elegant and classic, but striking as well, at least when combined with pale skin.

I think it really depends. In Britain I have seen some very pretty girls with fair hair and brown eyes.

Anyway, eye colour alone is too general. Blue-eyed brunettes are far more common.

Yes, I've seen plenty of pretty girls who had fairer hair combined with dark eyes. To declare one example to be representative of every single person with that type is going a bit far to generalize them as such. But personally I've never been a fan of blond-haired women but rather women who had brunette hair. Then again that's just me. :p

Even if I don't tend to find blue eyes the most atractive colour, I have to admit that they look simple striking when combined with brown hair and pale skin both in men and women, easily beating the blue-eyes/fair-hair combination.

It depends what part of France. Towards the south, people tend to look more Mediterranean than their western and northern counterparts - more like Italy and Iberia (depending what part of the south).

Dark hair and light eyes are quite common among Pontids and Atlantids, so that people with that pigmentation are found more often in areas, where the both types are dominant.
Over the half of my family members are like that.

I guess having light eyes they like their trendy look so they feel less need of "painting" their hair. Anycase they're not also much of my taste, although they still can score fair if they got no fake tits...an ugly pair of fake tits, the worst sin of a woman :D

Natural brown-eyed blondes are a rare but beautiful occurrence, and in terms of the British Isles they are found by my experience in Scotland more so than in England.

My yoga teacher was one such lady and I went to school with several, as well as a couple of text-book Jewish auburns who looked truly amazing.

As for brown eyed blondes who have their hair fixed, this is an aesthetically pleasing combination, but it depends upon the skill of the colourist. Many colourists do not have the requisite skills to perform such a delicate operation.

I would cite someone I once met in Greece as a good example, but Jessica Simpson as a well-known, yet very bad and scary example.

Eww, but for myself I prefer brown hair and blue eyes, because that is what I have, although my hair goes light-brownish in the sun and I have dark blue eyes, rather than the more stunning light-blue eyes and brown-black hair.

For me, beauty is not dependent upon pigmentation. I'm far more drawn to that "X factor": For example, my fiance has the most beautiful, sparkling 'lively' eyes and they're brown - many people wrongly assume that brown eyes are dull. She's a perfect English Rose as far as I'm concerned. Her natural hair is a dark blonde.

As well as that unexplainable " X factor" (which I believe to be a glimpse of a particularly beautiful soul), I'm drawn to the morphological values of a woman's face - Balance, complexion and just the right amount of definition.

If I were presented with identical twins - identical in all ways except that one had the dark/blue combination and the other a blonde/brown combination, I'd probably find fairly equal merit in both looks. The dark/blue look is more common to my country and so for that reason I might find myself drawn to it for subjective reasons.

My favourite combination in males and females are green eyes and light hairs. Closely followed by blue eyes and light hairs. If my memory serves me right I never had a relationship with dark-eyed people. But I never excluded anyone owing to his or her eye-color, it just happened.

In my book, dark hairs and blue eyes are a bit more prettier than light hairs and brown eyes. Don't like the contrast.

Dark hair and blue eyes can maybe look more attractive like combination, but i can't really vote because beautiful person is always beautiful no matter of colors. Brown eyes and blonde hair are maybe less desirable among some people because many dark girls dye hair blonde and in the end it looks fake, probably because all those girls have fake tan and it is not natural at all... But, there are natural brown eyes and blonde haired girls, and if natural, that combination can look good.
Blue eyes and dark hair is maybe the most wanted combination and with nice features it really looks good. But... features and harmony are the most important, colors much less. So, i will stay neutral in this subject. Beauty has many forms. :)

It's difficult to compare different girls. More correct to compare the same girl and to me if we take the same girl then by darkening her hair she almost always become better looking and by lightening her hair she almost never become better looking.
I knew pretty blond girls who dye hair black and become really stunning. And I knew pretty brunette girls who dye hair blond and almost lose their beauty.

As for eyes to me matters not color itself but intensity, brightness and expressiveness of color and of course size of pupils of eyes is very important.

To me, brown eyes and blonde hair looks very unnatural.

Some girls have it naturally... I like how it looks on Sigrid Agren, in her case eyes are in honey tones, and her hair also has honey shade, so it looks naural to me. She is Swedish-French mix:

But i agree that some very dark girls who dye they hair blonde can look very unnatural... For example this:

Arsen, it really depend. And it's all about tastes... Some people told me i look better with lighter hair, and some say it's better with dark...
If you dye your hair light, you need to have light skin tone in order to look good... With dark hair, skin tone isn't important.
If you dye your hair red for example, no matter if it's light or dark red, you will look bad if your skin tone is dark.

Most people will say dark hair + blue eyes because of the contrast effect. You don't have to be an expert on painting to infer this. And it is true that the look is often a more elegant classy one.

However, in Iberia, many of the real blondes have brown or hazel eyes, and they can be very beautiful in spite of the lack of contrast. Or at least, have a sort of earthly appealing, with all those wheat-to-clay tones.

I'm not sure either. I've looked for pics of her as a child, but I can't find any. It's quite likely that she's dirty blond or light brown and she just highlights it.

Anyway, I didn't write her name because my only intention there was just to illustrate a type of combination I've seen in non-famous women here. It is clear that most dark brown girls have a rather middle-to-dark type of blond.

Most Europeans are rather light haired at birth. I was too.

The point is, the only way to know if she is or was a real blonde was by looking at pictures from an age in which girls don't dye their hair yet. Women's hair tends to darken less than men's.

Well, pitch black eyes are as uncommon as light eyes, if not more, hazel and brown being the typical ones. If they are 'desirable', well, I don't know what to say, it'll depend on the person. Maybe they were more for older generations, while younger ones find light blue more desirable, dunno.

As for songs, it might be true that black eyes have more songs, followed by green and blue. Brown and hazel eyes being more common have fewer songs, I guess. :)

She is very pretty, and the blonde/brown coloring looks natural on her. I guess the thing for me is that I've not seen many natural blonde/brown combinations, whereas there are numerous examples of dark hair/light eyes that occur naturally.

So, I take back the initial comment and say that much of this all depends on the individual in question.

Blue eyes + brown hair is a very striking appearance, more common in Northern Europe, especially North-Western Europe. Ireland has the highest frequency of people who combine brown hair, light blue eyes and a pale skin or freckled complexion in the world. I think women have a high preference for males who have that colouring. Blond hair and brown eyes is not common in North-West Europe, but frequencies increases in Central and Southern Europe. I think females like that look very feminine and thus attractive.

I like both; I have a bit of a preference for brown-eyes blondes over blue-eyed brunettes, but they are much rarer in these parts.

Brown eyes+blonde hair is most common in NE europe, not C. or S.

Katherine Heigl all the way. That's my type. So I guess brown eyes with blonde hair. I value facial structure far more than complexion and eye/hair color.

Both of my first crushes as a kid were blonde with brown eyes. I've had a thing for it ever since.

IMO, brown hair blue eyes look is whiter than blonde hair and brown eyes. Blondes with otherwise dark features look like those pseudo-MENA girls who die their hair lighter.

which do you prefer?

I personally prefer blue eyes with dark hair because it looks not only very elegant and classic, but striking as well, at least when combined with pale skin.

They are equal
There are brunettes with blue eyes more beautiful than blondes with brown eyes. But there are also blondes with brown eyes more beautiful than brunettes with blue eyes
I bet you'll change your mind if you see a handsome man on the other side
These classifications are not good, if one category will receive more appreciation than the other category, people who read this will feel ugly because they are not part of the better category
