I thought Atlanto Med - this would be the classification he would get if he was Iberian

If he was Iberian he would be classified as North African. As he is French, Atlantid.

His surname is a Francisized version of the Bulgarian surname Koev.

East Euro as Russian, Ukrainian - not really.

Coeff is a Breton name, and he's from Brest.

Wouldn't look twice at him in the street.

Coeff is a Breton name, and he's from Brest.

To be honest, the first time I heard about him was from a Bulgarian media.

They claimed "Born in Brest to Bulgarian parents, Aleksandar Koev (Alexandre Coeff) played for most of French national football formation - U17, U19...".

I searched him in Google but didn't find any evidence of him being ethnic Bulgarian so I start to doubt it.

Коев е роден в Брест на 19 февруари 1992 година в семейството на българи, които са напуснали отдавна родината.

Те български сайтове и Зукербърг бяха изкарали българин.

Объркали са се заради името според мен.
