In the Canary Islands for sure. In the mainland probably, but they'd not be the most typical faces necessarily. Anyway, has Sikeliot invaded your body or something? xD

Well, when I saw them, I thought they were not really "mulattoid" or something similar. People often say how white Cuba is compared to its neighbors. So I decided to ask what you guys think.

NO
Why not? The first one is no swarthier than many Spaniards. Cuba is a Caribbean island, of course people there are usually tanned.

The question was if they could pass as mainland spainards, and my answer is NO. Why? Because I'm Spaniard, I live in Spain and I'm sure that if you put an italian citizen next to a spaniard citizen next to a french citizen and neither of them open their mouths, you wouldn't be able to say from which country are they.

Do Canarians really stand out in the mainland? Do people say when they see a Canarian: "Oh, that guy is definitely from the Canary Islands"?:)

The second doesn't even look Canarian, but more like a quadroon, around 15-20% black admix.

No, because there isn't a Canarian look. There are Canarians who look Iberian and others who look North African and even with black admixture (there was some black slaves) that are mistaken with Cubans or Venezuelans, not only because looks also due their accent.

Canarians can range from this:

To this:

But as a group they are this:

The two men on the left can pass in Morocco. Probably the darkest Canarians.

Yes, I have to agree with Empecinado. Canarians can look exactly like peninsulares or can look like a little bit exotic type peninsulares or can look a bit too exotic for the Iberian peninsula. So I think yes, they can pass as Canarians of the more exotic type. There is no one look, there is a range of looks from light to dark. But with that said, there's a range of looks in the Iberian peninsula too.

Rather the two men in the middle, the one of the left is darker than them but has features atypical in Morocco.

In the US they are more European. 80+ percent identify as "white".

But one year before Castro in 1958, Cuba was 74% white, so we can see many white Cubans left the island.

Most of the Cubans in the US and Spain are white, but in Cuba they are a minority (I doubt more than 40%). For example, the actress Ana de Armas (:love-smiley-036:) born in Cuba but living in Spain:

Most, I'd say around 80%, pass in Spain. The others have this kind of look, that even though is pred Euro and in Cuba would be considered white, here would make them to look foreigner:

Yes, of the more exotic types, which I would say is maybe 20% of the Canarian population. The first guy might have more ease passing with the majority.
