The first one looks like some kind of Alpinised East Med, passes in Southern Italy, Southern Balkan countries, Cyprus and Turkey

Second one: Alpine + Dinarid + Med, passes in Italy, the Balkans and parts of central Europe

Yes they're both French from the Rhōne-Alpes region.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of them had 'some' Southern Italian down the line as he is named Gaetan; which - I suppose means ''from Gaeta''.

Really ..? They're not even the darkest native French I've seen in my travels around France..

I think you're wrong, it seems a common name among full French or French-speaking people

French footballer Gaėtan Deneuve

Could be because I haven't googled it thoroughly - I thought it would sound like a logical explanation due to the similarities with Gaetano in Italian.

Variantes linguistiques

allemand et polonais : Kajetan.
anglais : Cajetan.
espagnol : Cayetano.
italien : Gaetano.
portugais : Caetano.

FIRST ONE IS DINARO-GYPSY.

FOR THE SECOND LOOK UP THE MTEBID TYPE.

BUT SINCE YOU ARE A CARELESS BOY YOU WILL NOT LOOK UP AND JUST PASS GYPSIES AND GEORGIAN LOOKING FOLKS AS NOT DARK FOR NATIVE FRENCH!!

THEY'RE PROBABLY TOO WHITE FOR SICILY TOO.

I doubt the second guy is all that dark for France.

France isn't Norway, after all
