Patsy Kensit, an English singer, mother of two sons, and actress from London
of English and Irish ancestry.
Her English father was an associate of the infamous and notorious Kray twins gangsters.
Nicknamed "Jimmy the Dip", he also reportedly worked for the
violent Richardson brothers gang (the Kray's rival gangsters in London,)
running long firms for the gangs.
Her father served time in prison before Patsy was born;
she believed he was an antiques dealer because this was told to her as a child.
Her mother was an Irish publicist.
Kensit's parents did not marry until after Patsy was born.
Her paternal grandfather was a robber and counterfeiter.
Patsy married Jim Kerr, lead singer of a band called Simple Minds.
During her second marriage, she gave birth to her first child, James.
She later married Liam Gallagher from the band Oasis.
Kensit and Gallagher had a son, Lennon,
named after Liam's idol John Lennon; they later divorced.
Her son Lennon's godmother is actress Elizabeth Hurley.
