A Kildare woman wrongly suspected of involvement in the £26m Northern Bank robbery has revealed how the ordeal left her wishing she was dead.
Kathryn Nelson went on hunger strike at one stage to highlight her desperate bid to clear her name, refusing food for 56 days before instead deciding to go the legal route.
However, her lowest point was yet to come as she was left penniless, in ill-health, had her power cut off, and was forced to sell treasured items of jewellery just to be able to eat.
