ARCHEOLOGISTS have unearthed what is believed to be Europe's oldest swastika during excavations of a religious site in Altimir, Bulgaria.

Experts say the swastika - found on the bottom of what appears to be a ritual drinking vessel - may be 2,500-years-old.

According to the Austrian Times, the symbol originated in India and central Asia and was considered a sign for spiritual good luck until it became the symbol of Germany's Nazi regime in World War II.

The ancient find is on show at the Gods, Symbols, and Ancient Signs exhibition.

1/ Actually, the oldest swastikas in Europe are found in the Vinca signs.

you can see it here :

2/ IIRC, The oldest swastika was found in Samarra (Iraq) around 5 or 6,000 BC IIRC, then the ones in the Vinca signs (from the Balkans) are the oldest (5th millenium BC, IIRC), then some are found in the Indus Valley civilization (Pakistan) around 2,500 BC or a bit later, i don't remember exactly. Some were also found at the Sintashta site, in the southern Urals (Russia), that is believed, in the Kurgan hypothesis context, to be the place of the early Indo-iranians (and the origin of the Andronovo cultural horizon).

I don't think they really found the most ancient swastika in India, I think it's a common misconception (lazy conformist journalists  ). Anyway I didn't come across such an evidence when I tried to get some informations about it some time ago.

This is a total shame for us as Europeans and Human beings! I want German democratic government to inmediately get on a commando operation in order to missile the settlement and bring that totalitarian archeologists to Nuremberg to be judged and subsequently condemned by Crimes against Humanity! Angela Merkel, what are you waiting for!
