Professor of economics of the Oxford University Paul Collier estimated that Estonia’s economic reforms and success is a good role model for poor countries, writes LETA/National Broadcasting.

You have the experience that is very valuable for the poor countries of the world,” he stated, adding that Estonia can also give an important contribution with its influence in the European Union.

Professor Collier visited Estonia to talk of problems in developing countries during the “World Day” event in Tallinn. This year’s main theme of the “World Day” was global climate change and their links to daily lives of individuals.

The family event that took place for the sixth year in a row was opened by minister of foreign affairs Urmas Paet. During the day, a number of organisations from Estonia as well as from abroad introduced their activities and organised workshops.
