Toxic Cloud in Barcelona

Hey if anyone is in Barcelona, you should stay indoors if within your vicinity. I've worked with Nitric acid & the Ferric chloride, it's dangerous.

Two important remarks:

1. It was not in Barcelona, but in Igualada, a town 70 km inland in central Catalonia.

2.It was not toxic.


What is not so clear is whether the reports of a child on top of it were real or not.

I'm not an expert, but what I read and heard is that it was a mixed reaction of two substances which caused irritation but was not toxic, as it was mostly a vapour cloud. That's why the alert was stopped a few hours later.

In fact, if it hadn't been for an anomalous thermic inversion that day, the cloud would probably have dispersed quicklier in the upper zone instead of adopting that shape. Or so did the weatherman say.
