True. European royalty is very exclusive and a trademark of the new world was to abolish royalty. But I don't agree with the last part abut rape and enslavement. It mainly came by Spanish being horny and according to the stories, the Spanish had Amerindian "royalty" that was just local to the tribes and mainly to appease the Amerindians, however, it was irrelevant in Europe. It was common for conquistadores to have a wife in Spain and another "royalty" wife in the new world.
