2015 has seen strong growth, good start to the year. The trend looks very promising indeed. In economical terms we are in a "bull market", and I have high hopes. I set my mind to this project and therefore has dedication to continue to grow and draw the crowds. However I am in no way complacent, and will try to improve membership experience by carefully considering changes to make it an even more inviting, attractive and addictive community. :)

I didn't have enough money for the server fees - the community then carried on on a free forum. We came back after I could afford the server fees (thanks to help from Leadchucker). Later on I got a better deal with another server company. In 2012, I used to host Apricity on a more expensive server due to DDoS attacks.

This is because the ranking is relative to all other sites on the internet, regardless of how busy it is. Once the ranking was as good as 31,000. I hope we will improve again soon there. I wonder what happened, maybe there's been a boom of new popular websites in China or something, hence the weaker Alexa ranking.

It is good. Generally speaking, websites with an Alexa ranking better than 100,000 can be considered popular. That is an important milestone (that we have passed long ago). It really isn't easy to get a site ranking to dip below 100,000. Luckily we get lots of organic traffic from Google, which is mostly driving the performance. And - believe it or not - the classification threads of celebrities have a lot to do with the success :P

Yeah it kind of is. Now imagine the people that hate a member versus the people that might agree with the member. I believe most members of the apricity have balls. Even the ones that are "anonymous" because just by registering in this forum or any particular forum for that matter there is always a risk that their info might become public. Out of those 8 million there is huge population that wouldn't register here for that reason.
