I would have thought a bit more eastern. A bit surprised he is completely western. Then again French can be unpredictable to me.

He looks very much like his grandfather from Belgium who is from Liège which borders the southern portion of The Netherlands. His hair is much lighter than the pictures depict and he is over 187 cm in height. I think his face has many influences which makes it difficult to classify. Also, I agree about the French :]

Yes. As I said, his grandfather was born and raised in Belgium near The Netherlands.

His family is quite diverse in looks. As far as I know, all of his ancestors came from either France or Belgium.

Yes.. His grandfathers surname was Guérin... I think your guess is quite accurate. His father has strong alpine features. While his mother, a Guerin, has a definite Nordic look. He has features from both parents but seems to have taken strongly after his mother.
