Aren't the majority of Madeirans R1b and H like the rest of portuguese? You posted one person with haplogroup L who clustered in the middle east.

Actually, all 3 Madeirans I have plot in the Middle East, because their SSA pulls them south. This is 3 results, and then one who is half Madeiran and half Azorean who is still plotting in Europe but shifted a bit south, with 1% SSA.

Even someone who is y-dna R1b and mtdna H may have a parent or grandparent who is different from that. Read any study, please..
