The tragic love story of Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci and Greek resistance figure Alekos Panagoulis is told in famous Fallaci's novel "A man". She was 10 years older than him and already a famous journalist when they met for the first time in Greece. Panagoulis went into self-exile in Italy, before his death in Greece.

Alexandros Panagoulis (Αλέξανδρος Παναγούλης) (born 2 July 1939 in Glyfada, Athens, Greece – died 1 May 1976, in Athens, Greece) was a Greek politician and poet
