THREE teenage girls who left the UK in a suspected bid to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State extremist group have police concerned.
Scotland Yard said the three teenagers flew to Istanbul, Turkey from a London Airport last Tuesday without leaving any messages for family or friends.
Commander Richard Walton, head of the force’s counter-terror command, said the girls — Shamima Begum, Kadiza Sultana and a third unidentified girl, all aged 15 to 16 — were good friends of another 15-year-old girl who left for Syria in December.

He told the BBC police were becoming “increasingly concerned” about a growing trend of young girls showing an interest in ISIS.
“The choice of returning home from Syria is often taken away from those under the control of Islamic State, leaving their families in the UK devastated and with very few options to secure their safe return,” he said.
There are grave fears the girls may have been targeted by IS propaganda under the guise of being part of a humanitarian movement or to become brides to lure them in.

Three UK schoolgirls have been spotted in CCTV footage showing them on the Turkish leg of what is believed to have been their journey to join ISIS militants in Syria.

The images of Shamima Begum and Amira Abase, 15, and Kadiza Sultana, 16, show them waiting at Bayrampasa bus station after they flew from from London to Istanbul on 17 February.

Britain’s Scotland Yard believes the three schoolgirls are now in Syria after crossing the Turkish border.

According to the BBC, the girls “waited in the offices of two bus companies at the station, before taking a bus to Urfa, close to the Syrian border, on 18 February.

“From there, they are thought to have been driven to a border crossing point by people smugglers,” the report added.

In the CCTV images, the girls appear calmly composed amid the crowd at the bus station, carrying their luggage and chatting together.

According to Britain’s Daily Mail (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2973880/On-road-Syria-Three-jihadi-bride-schoolgirls-spotted-CCTV-Turkish-bus-station-day-fled-England.html), smugglers in the Turkish border town of Akcakale said last week that the girls had already crossed the border using false Syrian IDs and accompanied by a man claiming to be their father.

The trio, who all attended Bethnal Green Academy in east London, had been described as “straight-A students.” In recent weeks, their families and friends have launched emotional pleas for their return.

Well they have a lovely future, full of predator drones, scrapping to survive, getting shot at, and being raped.

Such a wise career decision.

I don't understand when they say British females. They aren't British. They just hold the British citizenship.
They should clearly indicate their ancestry.

Seriously? Expecting all press agencies and news anchor in the world to say "3 girls, whose grandparents originated in the the former British Raj but who are British citizens nowadays...."?
99% of the world couldn't care any less about their ancestry.

British isn't even an ethnic term to begin with.

The title should read: "Three Moslem immigrant girls in London decide to return home."

Hmm, I know you're not a strong case of mental prowess, but do you mind explaining to me how 3 people born in the UK, whose grandparents came from Pakistan are 'returning home' by going to Syria?

Yep, blatantly rephrase, nobody noticed.

Pakistan = Syria, they all be Muslim anyway.

Getting sick of people of your mediocre level, thinking they say brilliant shit, when fact is, it couldn't be any dumber. And what's even more frustrating, backtrack shamelessly on your statements when exposed as the dimwitted creatures you are.

That's unlikely. While most of the population probably doesn't care, the audience probably does.

I'm sick & tired of things too, namely, the liberal news media perverting article titles to mislead people from the common sense truth.

The girls aren't "British" in anyway other than their passports and greencards.

Wrong.Audience DO care. Probably you don't, but most people do.
I do. If this would have happened in my country and someone said a Greek, while he/she is f.e. a Moroccan, or a Pakistani, I would want this to be clarified.

To be fair, he was raised amongst a people and a culture that is too foreign for him to be able to fully understand the perspectives of European peoples and Westerners. What he's trying to do would almost be like me or you attempting to explain how Afghanis view things to an Afghani.
