I wonder what the standard of living would be in an indepedent Wales? But material wealth isn't everything, certainly.

well the landscape would be beautiful, and I'm sure they would have a mostly open border with Britain if that ever happened, so you could buy your material wealth and work in England, then go back to Wales under their law
