Regional unity does help, lets say I REALLY needed help and I was in some unknown foriegn land. Who would I seek help from first? Naturally I would seek help from a Somali, if not avalible then I would seek help from a Ethiopian or Eritrean and Sudanese. If not avalible than I would seek help from the general Islamic community, if not avalible then I would seek help on the basis of 'humanity'.

That said I don't think that Somali's are liked by Ethiopians or Eritreans though Sudan is very open towards Somalis. My friend who has stayed in Ethiopia for some time; did state that the Ethiopian government tended to treat Somali's fine and that it was the local Ethiopians, mostly the Oromos and even the local Somalis who were harsh to Somali's.
