Huge discovery I made today:
My father's great-grandmother was Bulgarian, so this means I'm 6.75% Bulgarian.

GZ on your discovery. How did you find out if you don't mind me asking?
I met my aunt and asked her some info about our ancestors.

Well, they lived in Thrace during the Ottoman Empire, it makes sense.

Now that I calculated it again it's 6.25%. I was too excited to calculate it correctly lol
Wait.. isn't that 1/8 = 12.5% (1/16 = 6.25%) or I'm just stupid?

Thats really insufficient.
Pretty sure a lot of Greeks would score some minimal Bulgarian ancestry.

Which part of Thrace? Northen, Eastern? You might have relatives living in Bulgaria. Just like the brothers and sisters of my great grandfather, they all went to Greece before 1944, only he remained here. :D So I surely have Greek cousins somewhere in Greece.

Some lived in Edirne, some in Gotse Delchev. I have found a 5th cousin from Bulgaria in 23andme and many more distant ones.

I would be excited no matter the country of ancestry. It's the excitement of the discovery.

Would you be excited if it was Somalia?
You should write "Greek with a whiff of Bulgarian" in the ethnicity field on Apricity :D
Also don't have arguments with Hellenass cause he will use this against you.
You are still less Bulgarian than VlachLander and his sheeps.

I think that bulgarian ancestry is more common among northern Greeks, yes. I also receive PMs from albanian people in 23andme. I myself have found many albanian relatives there.

Hellander is the last of the Achaeans.
It's blatantly something like this.
Vlachander>Fucklown-MrPhalus>PFP-Scholarios
Then the rest of the race mixed people.

Interesting however considering that your share with Bulgaria is quite low (http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?162218-Greek-23andme-countries-of-ancestry&p=3432938&viewfull=1#post3432938).

The SlavoVlach is real.
We should see if we're related by the way, seeing as you have Kosovar relatives on 23andme.
