High Protein Feed Produced :thumbs up

Two species of protein insects have been raised in abundance in Sinhung County, South Hamgyong Province, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

It is possible to raise them easily and rapidly in any place at low cost.

One of them contains more than 70 percent of protein, vitamins, fatty matters and other substances good for such domestic animals as chicken, duck, pig and goat.

The other, with more than 60 percent of protein and essential amino acids, is suitable for fries.

Excrements of the insects are also used as fish feed.

The fatting rate of fish fed with them doubles what it was before.

Kim Jong Il's Work Published in UK :thumb001:

General Secretary Kim Jong Il's work The Democratic People's Republic of Korea Is a Socialist State of Juche with Invincible Might was brought out in booklet by the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the start of his work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The work, published on Sept. 5, Juche 97 (2008), says that the 60-year-long history of the DPRK is a history of great struggle and victory and of gigantic creations and changes in which the Korean people protected the sovereignty and honor of the country and built a rich and powerful socialist country under the guidance of the great leader and the great party, weathering the tempest of the revolution.

It clarifies tasks and ways for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche, holding aloft the banner of the Juche idea, the banner of Songun.

Patriotic Life of Ri Po Ik :thumbs up

Today is the 134th birth anniversary of Ri Po Ik, grandmother of President Kim Il Sung who was an ardent patriot and anti-Japanese fighter.

In his reminiscences With the Century the President says, "My grandfather and grandmother were old country people who knew nothing but farming. But truth to tell, I marveled at their firm revolutionary spirit and was greatly inspired by it".

She encouraged all the family members to take part in revolutionary activities for the country and nation, not just for the happiness of her family, with a steadfast faith.

When her son Kim Hyong Jik, an indomitable revolutionary fighter and founder of the Korean National Association, passed away, she did not yield to sorrow.

She told the President that he should devote himself to the struggle for national independence, continuing what his father had done, though he could not to take care of her and his mother.

It is her disposition not to bow to any pressure and tolerate any injustice.

She never gave up her firm conviction and principles when she was taken hostage by the Japanese imperialists to make the President surrender.

Whenever she got news that the Korean People's Revolutionary Army won a battle, she shouted in high spirits before the enemy, "My grandson is great. I hope he will crush all the Japanese imperialists on our land!"

Though she had neither regular education nor revolutionary cultivation, she could stand against enemies in defiance of hard trials and difficulties because she had a strong belief in the victory in the Korean revolution guided by the President.

Even after the liberation of the country, she continued farming until she died although she was the grandmother of the head of the state.

North Korea has developed a "super drink" that can multiply brain cells and stop skin ageing. :thumbs up

The secretive state's official news agency, KCNA, says the drink contains 60 kinds of "microelements" extracted from more than 30 species of plants.

It attracted "much interest from Chinese, German and other businessmen" at a trade fair in Pyongyang last month, the agency reports.

It was developed by a joint venture fruit juice company.

'No side-effect'

KCNA says: "It, with effects of both preventive and curative treatment, helps improve mental and retentive faculties by multiplying brain cells.

"It also protects skin from wrinkles and black spots and prevents such geriatric diseases as cerebral haemorrhage, myocardium and brain infarction by removing acid effete matters in time.

"It, much higher than quality cosmetics in anti-oxidation capacity, is efficacious for different skin diseases, including allergic dermatitis. It also makes skin fair.

"The drink has no side-effect."

The agency quotes a company manager, Jong Song Ho, as saying the drink has "proved efficacious among workers of such industrial establishments as thermal power station and smeltery and at medical institutions".
