View Full Version : How common would she be in Southern Italy and Greece? (I know the answer but anyway)

She is an example of what "East Med" should be meant to be. Not some Pontids, Alpo-Meds or Dinaromeds with tanned skin.

I guess she passes but atypical. I have seen some Sicilian girls like her but quite rare. I've never seen a similar Greek except Pontians and Cypriots.

Panormus and Tiberio probably would say she doesn't and this is what I tend to think too.

Pigmentation + eye size and shape + nose is combination that places her out of Europe.

She is of Christian Palestinian ancestry by the way, her name is Shadia Mansour.

They're very atypical examples that she might resemble but I've seen a few. So you think she can't pass as any European?

Definitely no. Judging by the few Levantine girls I have seen in Sofia, she is on the darker side even for there, but her features are common.

I guess the thing to ask southern Italian and Greek users is how they would perceive her in their hometown.

Her skin tone doesn't seem odd to me, I've seen Italians darker than her. Her facial traits, on the contrary, are more uncommon and if I saw her in the street I would likely think of a foreigner or of an Italian-arab mix of some sort.

If this is east med then I resolve to not call Italian and Greek phenotypes that name.

I don't know about Italy but where I live natives are naturally lighter. Only in the summer some might get darker with tanning.

East Med as a separate type doesn't exist, it's an umbrella type.
