The father could be southern Italian, but pushing it. The mother looks distinctly MENA and more like an Egyptian.

The father kinda reminds me of someone from here. Similar looks and everything. probably his lost brother in New York but with Arab ethnicity.

I thought this too. The guy has a bit universe look that that you can see in many parts of the Eastern Mediterranean, from it's right corners far too Asia minor.

Don't force it. There are already enough Arabs in Southern Europe. No need for more.
