My skin is nearly as dark as my mother's and her skin is always brownish even in the middle of winter with no sun exposure same with me. She quickly blames my father for my dark skin, but I take after my mother. I know people on my mother's family who have darker than average skin naturally (untanned) my dad is from Southern Europe but he's pale white in the winter, same for people in his family, they tan in summer quite well but they're as white as any other European in winter. My ethnic makeup is (mothers side) English, Jewish and on my father's side, European Spanish and Greek. My skin is described as 'olive' or 'light brown' sometimes but at the same time 'pale'.
My skin also has a yellow tint to it, enough for new doctors seeing me for the first time to question it.
