I am taking the ferry from Hirtshals (DK) to Kristiansand, Telemark is one of the provinces I will visit, yes. Cities I have planned to visit are Stavanger, Bergen and Oslo. On the way back we planned a route via Sweden into DK.:D

I hope I planned the right route :thumb001:

you should stop in several places in Sogn, if you like old style churches and such i would recommend it, also it gets very hot in sogn during the summer, much more so then the surrounding countryside.. if you geta chance you should see these places:

Next time - try Vestlandet. My friends and I had found this good hotel just in the heart of Bergen from which we could travel all over the area. What might be a good idea is to get yourself a discount card. I think they called it Bergenskortet or something like that which can be easily obtained when you are in the city - just a small block away from Fisketorget - along the old harbour.

Also very interesting: do visit the Fantoft Stave Church (which is a replica from the one Varg burned to the ground) and go for a trip to the fjord. We took one to the Sognefjord and it really offers fine views of the landscape. And if you have some spare time: go to the Akvariet. Which is basically a local version of the Dolfinarium without the dolphins.

Ooh one more thing: I remember that we could ask at certain places for receipts which we could exchange at the airport for a reimbursement of any VAT's that you paid during your stay. So if you're clever (when you're travelling again) - ask at the local tourist office. I was broke when I went out of Bergen but thanks to the airport I regained some 80 euro's worth in kroner.
