Eastern China (Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, northeastern Jiangxi, northern Fujian, maybe Shandong) in general I would say is more divided by language and culture than genetics. In terms of ethnic Han Chinese regional identity, it probably is the most diverse within China. For them, the language that they speak defines their regional identity to a large degree. As a negative result of it, people within eastern China tend to stereotype each other depending on which language/regional culture.

These maps detail the frequency of the more common Y-DNA haplogroups in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai and some prefectures in Anhui.
