Most the U.S. Military is conservative (which is an understatement for sure) and have been against Obama's strategies. Now the leading general in Afghanistan has openly criticized Obama:thumb001:.:D

It is not something to be happy about. Quite the contrary. It shows lack of unity and helps reaffirm my belief that most Americans are overly emotional and cannot, or will not, follow orders from their superior if they disagree with them.

Lack of consensus and divided loyalties will only result in a greater catastrophe for the armed forces abroad.

Meh I don't care whether they support Obama. It already is a bad situation over there, and this is just an indication of that reality. The generals have never liked Obama, they are just now coming out and stating it.

What Stanley McChrystal thinks of politicians is irrelevant. It does seem to show a lack of discipline to speak so openly the way he did and I believe discipline is a highly valued trait in the military.

Well you say that but in reality it isn't irrelevant at all. It has huge implications really as seen already by the blowing up of his comments and Obama having to make statements about it.

EH? When said superior, the commander-in-chief himself, is openly fifth column? Uh.

Let me just say this:

If any of you think that this was an accident, you're fools. Men like McChrystal do not "accidentally" do interviews with Rolling Stone where they "accidentally" criticize half a dozen members of their Commander's cabinet. This was a carefully calculated act by the military's equivalent Grandmaster (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grandmaster_%28chess%29). He has made a bold move on the chessboard, but we've yet to see true motive behind this strategy.

Yes I agree. That's what I'm saying, this is a level 1000 on the scale. This is THE general in a time of War on the main field of battle openly criticizing Obama. This is much bigger than the media is stating, this is the equivalent of Darth Vader telling the emperor he is wrong during the final assault of the rebel alliance.

The race implications are massive here, of course the media won't talk about that.
