In one interview she said both parents are pakhtuns, father from Mardan and mother from Swat. So she is pashto speaking pakhtun from KPK but born in Karachi. Anyway I have noticed from interviews that most leading actresses/actors even if born in Karachi are not actually off muhajir background. Most have punjab, kpk and sindh background.

yeah I have noticed that too, its because most private drama studios are located in karachi, btw most muhajirs actors from what I have seen are from UPite Hyderabadi muslim elite or Shite from these regions general UP/Bihari types are rare.
