On various Gedmatch calculators we see terms like "East Med", "SW Asian", "Caucasus" and "NW African" which are all often perceived as components that originated outside of Europe and then arrived in Europe in waves.
While this approach is limited and somewhat outdated, which components arrived together? I notice that in various Southern European and West Asian groups, the proportions of the components are such that it suggests they arrived in different waves. On Eurogenes K12b, "East Med" peaks in Lebanon, while "West Asian" peaks in the North Caucasus.

East Med, SW Asian and NW African have been in Europe since the Neolithic, since LBK and the neolithic samples from Hungary all score high.
West Asian seems to have arrived during the Bronze and the Iron Age.

East Med, SW Asian and NW African have been in Europe since the Neolithic, since LBK and the neolithic samples from Hungary all score high.
West Asian seems to have arrived during the Bronze and the Iron Age.
So West Asian arrived separately then, and is more recent? It seems to be a component from the Caucasus or Anatolia.
I ask because amongst Sicilians, there is a part of the island -- the far western tip around Trapani, where a lot of people whose results I have seen on GEDmatch score very high in all of the other components -- SW Asian, NW African, East Med -- as high if not higher than in many other parts of southern Italy, Sicily and Greece -- but their West Asian can be among the lowest.
Then on the other hand, many Greeks particularly mainlanders have high West Asian, but their East Med, SW Asian and NW African are much lower.
For this reason I suspected the components did not all arrive together.
I found this on a quick Google search like a week ago when I was also wondering the same thing:
NE1 Hungarian Neol (EM 31.01%, RS 3.94% WM 39.83%, Remaining Hunter-Gatherers : NS 2.02% Atlantic 20.82% Baltic 2.37% )
NE2 Hungarian Neol (EM 7.53%, RS 4.78% WM 52,55%, Remaining HG Atlantic 22.5%)
Otzi (NS 6.21% At 25.54% WM 47.53% EM 20.11%)
LBK Stuttgart (At 23.19%, WM 47.18% EM 25.91% RS 3.68%)
