These populations would not grow so much if not for subsidization from the US/Europe. If and when Europe and America go broke, there will be a massive starvation in the Third World like never seen before. India, Pakistan, Brazil and China might be able to stay stable, but other population gains are not sustainable in my honest opinion.

Ironically, help from charities and foreign aid may come and bite third world countries in the ass when the starving times come (after the US and Europe are wiped out, stop giving aid, or go completely broke)

United Nations – Africa’s population is expected to rise from the current 1 billion people to 3.6 billion by 2100, a report released on Wednesday by the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) says.

The report, which relied on recent estimates by UN Population Division, states that Nigeria’s population will increase from 390 million in 2050 to 730 million by 2100.

Nigeria will be the third most populous country in the world by 2100, up from its current seventh position.

The report predicts a global population of 9.3 billion in 2050, an increase over earlier figures, and more than 10 billion people by the end of this century.

Much of this increase is expected to come from high fertility countries, which comprises 39 in Africa, nine in Asia, six in Oceania and four in Latin America, the report says.

Predications are rarely right mirror to rely on, they predict population movement based of recent trends of immigration/emigration and birth rate however tend to ignore possible obstacles any country might face such as eventual civil war, diseases, famine, migration which might go in opposite directions, ever changing fertility rate, so on so forth.

World's population will soar to 11 billion by 2100 and HALF will live in Africa, claims report
By 2050, the global population will rise from 7.3 billion to 9.7 billion
Africa’s population of 1.2 billion is expected to rise to 5.6 billion by 2100
UN study claims probability population growth will end this century is 23%
Predictions were made at the 2015 Joint Statistical Meetings in Seattle

The global population is set to reach 11 billion by the end of the century - and Africans will make up half of this number, a UN study predicts.
By 2050, the global population will rise from 7.3 billion to 9.7 billion and by 2100, Africa’s current population of 1.2 billion is expected to explode to 5.6 billion.
Experts predict such rapid growth will boost pollution, make resources scarce and fuel unemployment, poverty, crime and political unrest.

For example, in Nigeria, the continent’s most-populous country, the high fertility rate would result in a more than fourfold projected increase in total population by 2100 from 182 million to 752 million people.
Director Wilmoth said although there is considerable uncertainty about these future trends, there is a 90 per cent chance Nigeria’s population will exceed 439 million people in 2100, which is nearly 2.5 times its current size.
Looking more closely at the global projections, he continued that Asia, with a current population of 4.4 billion, is likely to remain the most populous continent.
Its population is expected to peak around the middle of the century at 5.3 billion, and then decline to 4.9 billion people by the end of the century.

These results have important policy implications for national governments.
Rapid population growth in high-fertility countries can fuel a range of existing problems including pollution, a scarcity of resources, unemployment, poverty, crime and political unrest.

I think it's more the amount of resources people consume than overpopulation per se that is really problematic... If you don't buy your kids any toy/you force them to use the same clothing over and over again/etc., nothing prevents you from marrying an Albanian woman to raise a large family with her... That way you will win the demographic race against your evil Greek, Macedonian and Serbian neighbors! :p

The vast majority of the world's issues would be resolved if humans weren't so selfish and actually maintained a sustainably low birthrate. A mandatory/incentivized birth regulatory program would go a very long way in reducing the world population and increasing global standards of living.

NO, the reduction of the birthrate is not a problem, immigration is a problem.

If the western population start to decrease, especially in Europe, it's a good thing because our countries are already too populated .

They have so many children because there is no old age support, social security, or welfare to catch them when they have hard financial times... more children = more household income, and the children in developing nations begin working VERY young.

My women? Why do you lump all "third worlders" together? No, Europe itself is much more populated than the entire Middle East+North Africa, much less Palestinian women. The Palestinian birth rate isn't excpetionally high, excluding Gaza.

Same with the Bangladesh fertility rate, it's only 2.21 (2012), very close to stable levels, probably even lesser now.

The Palestinian birth rate is exceptionally high, including Gaza.

And yes, Europe is more populate than the MENA because the natural ressource of the land allow us to feed an important population.

Serbia Greece Albania are and will be insignificant. When the world reaches 10-11 billion borders will no longer exist as well, this will destroy any quality of life on earth. It will be impossible to manage. So bringing kids into to the world today it might be the imoral thing to do.

Russians have a similar bad fertility rate as Europeans. The reason why Russia has a slight higher rate overall than Europe are Chechens and North Caucasians who have a birth rate of 3,5.

According to mother nature it's unhealthy for British people to live in a climate like Australia's and it's unhealthy for dark people to live in a climate like Britain's. We don't get as many natural disasters as we should, and modern medicine has pretty much ceased the occurrence of massive plagues. We kicked mother nature's ass too hard with science i'm afraid. Only we can stop ourselves now. We're fucked, Furance....we're fucked.
