right now the usa invests 10times as much as russia,china and top 5 nations combined

The Chinese economy continues to grow and will be number one.
Currently it has the second highest military spending after the US.
I think China will close that somewhat large gap and will approach US military spending by around 2030-2040.

At the moment US spends 3.5% of GDP and China only spends 2.1% so maybe it could raise a bit.

Either way the world will become more multipolar which is good (NATO nations will have to calm down with the wars).
BRIC nations will increase their military spending in the coming years too.

Many people don't like USA with good reasons. But China as superpower is scary as hell. So Russia or any other country like Iran. Future isnt so shiny
