It is a good thing for the Danish nature that wolves have come to Denmark. It shows the nature is thriving, says Mads Fliterup from the Danish Hunters' Association.

The wolf indeed has an important role in the Danish nature. What we need to remember is that the wolf feeds on meat, and the animals it feeds on are the sickly and weak, says consultant Mads Fliterup.
Right now the debate is raging in the social media. This happens after it was brought forth that a number of hunters in discussion boards and on Facebook have called for the shooting of wolves on sight.
The Danish Hunters' Association takes a strong position against the calls to kill the protected animals. They appeal instead that the wolves' arrival be seen as a good thing for the Danish countryside.
The mere fact that the wolf has migrated to Denmark on its own is an enrichment of the nature. It shows that nature is dynamic and constantly evolving , says Mads Fliterup to DR Syd.

It'll only be a matter of time before trigger happy Danes who consider themselves hunters (falsely, that is) will start shooting one of the most magnificent beautiful creatures, and along with that leave the same hole in our fauna which they just had restored.
