Greece possibly? Not really like southern Italians. Too robust and too few people look heavily Neolithic West Asian... but they also do not look Albanian.

Island Greeks look like southern Italians though, so I'd say mainland Greeks.

Depends on which island. Dodecanese tend to be close to how people in Calabria and much of Sicily look, but you are probably right that the islands closer to Greece itself might be a bit lighter.

It depends on the islanders. I think Cretans and Dodecanese seem to have a heavier Near Eastern look than other islanders, and this look overlaps with Sicilians/Calabrese/Neapolitans etc.

These photos have too few West Asian influences to be a group of southern Italians. Nowhere did anyone say that every southern Italian looks like this.
