Servas!

The Bavarians are dominated by the Alpine racial phenotype.
The Bavarians are the ones who created modern Austria, which was a result of this German colonization (Ostsiedlung) of these Eastern marches.

In parts of Austria, the Noric phenotype is prevalent.
This is a sub-nordid phenotype, kind of like Nordids adapted to the Alps (dinaricization).

My question is this...
If Bavarians are the ancestors of most German-Austrians (Deutsch-Oesterreicher), and Bavarians are mostly Alpine, where do the sub Nordid Norics come from in Austria?

For example...My grandfather's lineage comes from Bavaria, but he is of Sub-Nordid phenotype (noric/dinaricized Nordid), not Alpine at all.

Could it be that the people of the Kingdom of Bavaria are actually not all Alpines but Nordid aswell?

Na servas.
Yes, maybe not all 12,6 million Bavarians have the very same phenotype, even though racial maps throuout the 19 century clearly showed them as such. Maybe the maps lie and only you found out! Maybe you are a veritable genius?!

Is the difference between the sub-Nordic and the Alpine simply a matter of colouring or facial features as well?
