I've noticed a lot of Ashkenazi Jews when run through GEDmatch (jtest) only show like 11-14% Ashkenazi ancestry. And then top results on Oracle are all southern Italian and Greek. A lot have a bigger percentage of East Med or even central Euro than they do Ashkenazi. Why is that? just because GEDmatch isn't perfected or what?

Because Ashkenazis have a very similar breakdown of ancestral components to island Greeks and southern Italians (not mainlander Greeks), so they come up at the top of their Oracle results.

I should clarify that the results I've been looking at are all Russian Jews so it may vary. but these Russian Jews show only about 11-14% ashkenazi.

You'd still think they'd have a higher percentage of Ashkenazi

Full Ashkenazis score 27-30% Ashkenazi on Jtest.

From memory I'm about 14%. I guess no one is pure "Ashkenazi"
