No, I meant the importance of the paegent itself. When I worked in a retail outfit, all the filipino, indian, hispanic, etc. ladies made a bigger deal out of the miss world/miss universe paegentry than even local westerners and were excited about their country repping them in it, while it wasnt such a big deal to canucks and so on

I agree but these Indians arnt ur regular types. They are well to do rich ladies. Our average Indian dunno even know when n where these peagents happen. They are more concerned abt their daily chores taking care of kids n making money etc.

that alot of Somali women grace the western catwalks is a matter of evolutionary coincidence for the most part. Not general tropics though...specifically arid/semi arid adaptation. Jungle dwellers, whether in the Americas, South East Asia or the Congo are usually more paedomorphic and infantilized, with short bodies and round torsos.
