Yes, I think it's due to atlanto-med influences. It's rarer among other South Slavs but it makes some Croats more ''western'' looking :)

Not an expert, but this kind of mix between western and eastern make Croats on average a very good-looking people in my opinion.

That's correct. Most of these western looking ones are coastals (Dalmatians, Istrians, Primorci).

Too bad there's a lack of Croats in Denmark, only recently we've had a few who came to study here abroad ... Untill then, its mainly Bosniaks followed by Serbs ...

Yeah, I think those names were replaced after the Islamic invasions, which is a shame, I'd prefer those over names like Ali and Muhammed.

Goran is still used by Kurds, Zoran isn't ... maybe in very rare cases. Though you're right.

Why do Kurds use South Slavic names ?

Why do Kurds use South Slavic names ?

Because they're Aryan.

Why do Kurds use South Slavic names ?

Because we've had these names for a long time. This also goes for certain words, like zhena = woman.

Zoran is an old Russian (Slavic), pre-Christian, pagan name. http://www.stihi-rus.ru/name.htm
The name Zoran is extinct in Russia. Christian and pagan names coexisted up to the 17th century. The name Zoran is widely used by South Slavs.
You said that zoran means 'strong' in Kurdish. Zora means 'dawn' in Slavic languages. I believe that similarity is pure coincidence. I could not find any other Slavic name in the list of Kurdish names: http://www.institutkurde.org/en/kurdorama/kurdish_baby_names.php

Goran is ancient Iranic too, and still used by Kurds. Gora used to be the word for mountain in Kurdish (and probably old Persian too), but is no longer used.

actually Zoran is usually perceived as Serbian name... and considering Croatian PM very Serbian sounding last name, the source of many jokes in Croatia :)

Don't think its a coincidence, old Persian word for god was bagh as well, slavic, god = bog. There's a lot of similarities.

Back on topic....

I'd say ;

Vedran Ćorluka : Hard to say CM + something else

Maksim Mrvica : North Pontid

( He looks like me so a friend said, I wouldn't say so though )

Slaven Bilić : Dinaric + CM

I think Vedran Chorluka can pass better in Italy than in the balkans.
