Calabria is in my view the darkest and most West Asian influenced part of continental Europe. Possibly mores than Sicily and most Greek islands also. Though, IN GENERAL, Calabria, Sicily, Crete, the Dodecanese islands, and to some extent Campania are all genetically and phenotypically similar.

after seeing documentaries about Naples and even the tv serie Gomorra, filmed there, I think that Campania is darker than Sicily. Actually I dont know about Calabria except th Sikeliot threads, where they look very swarthy too.

Calabria may be darker and they do have their share of Near Eastern phenotypes, but Sicilians are more likely to have Semitic influence in their features than Campanians are. But overall the three regions are all very similar. Apulia is the region in southern Italy that stands out as lighter.
