What is your BMI index ? :

http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm

Mine is about 21.6 but it might be as low as like around 21.3 because I didn't weigh myself first thing in the morning. Also, keep in mind that I'm athletic :

BMI is a useful measure of overweight and obesity. It is calculated from your height and weight. BMI is an estimate of body fat and a good gauge of your risk for diseases that can occur with more body fat. The higher your BMI, the higher your risk for certain diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, gallstones, breathing problems, and certain cancers.

Although BMI can be used for most men and women, it does have some limits:

It may overestimate body fat in athletes and others who have a muscular build.
It may underestimate body fat in older persons and others who have lost muscle.

Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5–24.9
Overweight = 25–29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

Height: about 5' 11.5" (181.6 cm)
Weight: about 191 lbs (been awhile since I've weighed myself, though)

I guess I'm technically overweight, though you'd never know it to look at me. BMI confuses me some for that reason.

23.5, I have strong bones (I did the wrist measurement with the fingers, I can't touch).
But I am not exactly sure about my real height and my real weight.

It means nothing indeed because of your bones and overall structure.

A guy like this is 'overweight' with these BMI calculators (181cm/85kg) :

Probably but I so rarely start/make own threads that I didn't even think of it probably because I never started a thread with a poll before.

Done.

Thank you and I have to really like commend on a job well done this forum. I dunno how you manage to have such seemingly overall well done omnipresent administration (even if not with full privileges) when you seemingly have a full time job as cop in venice or whatnot. Anyway, for someone of your IQ level, even someone of mine which is more modest than yours but significantly above average, our time would be much better served by reading non-fiction books and like periodicals like professional journals. Anyway, I'm not a hypocrite while I understand intellectually that I am better off when reading non-fiction books etc... currently it seems I have like an internet addiction. Also, I'd be lying if I didn't say for selfish reasons I prefer the status quo of you wasting your time administering over lackluster, in general, posts on this forum only because I waste so much of my time as well. In any event kudos to you, regardless.:thumb001:

Cheers. But slight correction: full time student, part-time police officer. I have a lot of free time. I waste most of it. What privileges are you talking about?

+1. I love this place but I need to prioritise other things. When I return to the UK in a few weeks I will be reassessing my general schedule. I need to aim towards something more productive (which is not to say I'll leave TA, of course).

I dunno but based on like looking at your jawline maybe we can make probability judgement that perhaps you are muscular than average and hence not technically overweight ?

Honestly, what is your excuse for not having an analog or digital scale in your bathroom ? In America they are not expensive, the former probably being cheaper, and while you do not have to be vain and obsess over your weight weighing yourself once a week to compare it to your 'ideal weight' seems reasonable, dude.

I just never cared about my weight, because it's not a good indicator of health. Like clothing size - it varies by height, musculature, etc. I'd be more concerned with body fat percentage and how far/fast I could run, how much I could lift, etc.

True to some degree. I'd make some slight corrections to what you said. I can run a mile in like 6 minutes or less (which for my age is good) but as far as you said about 'how much you can lift' like in regards to absolute measures like bench press, squats and dead lifts that is pretty much relatively meaningless compared to relative strength measures of physical fitness such pull ups. Also. the BM isI also only totally useless to people like built like American football players which the vast majority of the population isn't. While the BMI may not make an accurate statement of body fat percentage since we are both not built like American football players it still gives valuable information not to mention the more valuable information it gives to the general public.

What privileges am I talking about ? Well you obviously are not the system administrator of the operating system of the server of this website and Loki obviously probably has more privileges than you and you have more privileges than me. This is common sense, bro, why do I need to even elaborate on this for you ? Also, I've been drinking too much so I am going to be more honest than what is good for my 'own good' but I have been into computer hacking since 1997 and I have a college degree in computer science. Right now I am using my neighbor's WIFI connection to communicate with you and I hacked into it and I have full control of his router. So while in a certain sense you have privileges over me in the grand scheme of things you don't because people like me can hack the forum easily. Also, to be completely honest with with you in general I'm too lazy to hack the forum because evading any potential ban is way easier than compromising the forum in general. Also, if I had to easily evade your bans based on IP and DNS leakage I would have to adapt a semi-false persona and I couldn't use my original handle but that wouldn't stop me from posting on this forum. Anyway, bottom line is I have been drinking too much and so I am too honest for my own good but technically there is no way you ban me from posting on this forum, in various guises, since I am a technician compared to you in this field and this is not a threat but a fact of reality and I am probably to lazy to hack this server in general even though I am technically capable of it but that you have my physical pictures, of of me, and my neigbhor's WIFI router IP, which corresponds to an IP block, that wouldn't make the latter prudent by any means. Anyway, thanks to loki's wisdom on a policy of free speech I don't have to resort to hacking the forum, Anyway, any such 'ego hacking' of the forum is an egocentric thing from the 90s since hacking is now all about organized crime. However, don't forget my blackhat origins come from from the ego hacking of the 90s since I am 37 years old.

Indeed, it doesn't take a genius to come back using a proxy, even if we do bother to IP ban, which we usually do not. Of course your technological prowess is more considerable than mine anyway, but anyone could easily do it.

Loki owns the site, of course he has all the 'power.'

Doctor said it was 26.89 this week. 83.6kg and an 82cm waist.

My bodyfat percentage is still the same though (~14%) which means since 2014 I've put on 14kg, of which about 15% was fat - so ~2kg of fat in 7 years and ~12kg of muscle (~4.5lbs of fat and ~26.5lbs of muscle). Probably means I still have about 10lbs of muscle to put on before I truly plateau, likely mostly lower body.
