To be honest Rommel doesn't look like the stereotypical German, imo. If I wasn't aware who he was I would suggest British or even American if someone asked me about his background.
Maybe it's because the Borreby, Keltic influences.

Nor most National Socialist leaders and high figures of the Reich looked like the stereotypical german. It's curious because nordicism (wich was mostly abandoned by the Reich when the war started) was mostly cultivated by non-nordics. Usually nordics tend to be more egalitarian and less racist than many other european sub-races.

I was a kid the first time i was in Germany and it was a shock when i saw that the germans were not all blond like i tought at that age (due to myths created around National Socialism and racial-policy), naturally i saw many with brown and dark hair.

The stereotypes of foreigners about us are often not true. But Rommel looks very German, he comes from Swabia and lots of South-Westerners in Baden-Württemberg look similar.

He would be with this face and body type hungarian.:D And truly funny, that the main nordicist was short and dark haired like Himmler hisself. When I see the old pics the hungarian swabians, they had dark or golden brown hair, skyblue, blue or brown eyes, roundhead mainly alpines and dinaroids. They were very mixed, but their ancestors go on board at Ulm...
