yeh yeah I know shalwar was first worn in Persia or turkey but have you seen those shalwars and compare them with Punjabi suit.. Punjabi shalwar kamiz is different n its called Punjabi suit all over india.

pretty sure its the same thing worn all over South Asia.

there are various types bro.. for example Patiala shalwar,, parallel shalwar and baggy type shalwar.. these were first worn in indian Punjab.. Pakistani Punjabi ones more like pajama shalwars.. other than Punjab people in south asia wear mostly saris and other attire of their respective communities .. like in Bangladesh they wear mostly Bengali saris .. am I right

yeah, they wear mostly saris in Bangladesh but, most urban middle and upper class non-married women now wear salwar kameez.

shalwar kamig is getting popular outside Punjab in india as well. its much comfortable and easier to handle for women I think
