That is just a few. They might not be my favourites as, quite frankly, all guitarists in the genre of ROCK 'N ROLL are well versed in plucking out a great solo. Here is a real obscure band called "Captain Beyond" who made 1 great album and then 2 more not so much. This is a rare live video of them playing "Dancing Madly Backwards, On a Sea of Air"

The guitar solo gets going pretty good at the 2:30 area. The guitarist and the bass player were in the band Iron Butterfly, with the great rock classic hit "Inna Godda Da Vida".
