2. Zusammenhang zwischen Kurden und den Roma und Sinti

Es gibt aber drei alte schriftliche Quellen, die sich damit befassten:
Die erste Quelle stammt aus dem Jahr 961 unserer Zeit von dem arabischen Historiker Hamza al-Isfahani. Er berichtet über den Schah Bahram V. Gur (420-438 u.Z.), der 12.000 Sänger vom indischen König für sein Land bat, da es im eigenen Reich an diesen mangelte. Diese Musiker verteilte Bahram Gur im ganzen Land und sie assimilierten sich dort und gründeten auch Familien mit den Einheimischen.
Die 2. Quelle stammt von Firdausi, der 10.000 Musiker in seinem Shahnameh erwähnt. Fardausi geht sogar soweit, dass er die Einwanderer als Luri(2) bezeichnet. Er erzählt über sie eine interessante Geschichte: Nachdem die Luri in Persien ankamen, soll der Schah jedem von ihnen einen Ochsen, einen Esel und Saatgut geschenkt haben, dass sie sich ansiedeln konnten. Die Luri aber hätten alles verspeist und kehrten ein Jahr später zum Shah zurück. Der war natürlich sehr erbost und schickte sie sodann in die Verbannung. Dies sei der Grund dafür, dass die Luri heute noch als Nomaden durchs Land ziehen.
Die 3. Quelle stammt aus dem Jahr 1020, also nur 9 Jahre danach. Der Historiker Al-Talibi, nahm in seinem Werk „Die Geschichte der Persischen Könige“ einen persischen Text, den er ins Arabische übersetzte, mit auf. Dort wird ebenso von den Luri berichtet, die als Musiker von Indien nach Persien kamen. Der einzige Unterschied, der hier besteht ist, dass Al-Talibi nur von 4000 Luren spricht.
Diese Berichte passen auch sehr gut in die damaligen geschichtlichen Ereignisse in Indien. Zwischen 415 und 500 u.Z. fielen die „weißen Hunnen“ in Indien ein und so könnte man eine Wanderung dort ansässiger Völker gut erklären. Allerdings sollte man auch nicht vergessen, dass die nomadische Luren und die Roma ähnliche Lebensweisen haben und damit auch verwechselt werden können. Eine klare Aussage kann es also nicht geben. Außerdem muss man anführen, dass die Sprache der heutigen Roma und die Sprache der Luren sehr unterschiedlich ist und man schwer eine Verwandtschaft herstellen kann(3).
